Please read this first: SPARC helps you prepare and make better-informed study decisions. It cannot promise an exam score, admission, a particular question appearing, uninterrupted access, or the accuracy of information controlled by an exam body or university.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and SPARC when you create an account, use the SPARC app, use a connected web experience, or buy a SPARC Season Pass. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you are below the age at which you can enter this agreement on your own under applicable law, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms for you.
2. What SPARC provides
SPARC provides exam-preparation tools such as downloaded learning content, practice activities, subject and full mocks, saved questions, mistake review, coverage and progress views, study planning, reminders, admission context, and Lara guidance. Some features work offline after required content is available. Others require internet access, including account creation, payments, fresh content, support submission, live Lara services, and certain backup or restoration functions.
Features may be added, improved, renamed, restricted, or removed as SPARC develops. We will try to avoid changes that unfairly remove access you have already paid for during its stated period.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep access to the email connected to your account. You are responsible for reasonable security of your device, email account, and sign-in credentials. Do not share one-time codes or allow another person to impersonate you.
Tell us promptly at support@sparc.ng if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Educational and admission guidance
SPARC’s questions, explanations, scores, readiness estimates, recommendations, and Lara messages are educational tools. They are not official exam instructions, professional counselling, or a guarantee of any result.
Admission requirements, subject combinations, cut-off practices, course names, dates, and university policies can change. SPARC may use historical or generally available information to provide context, but the relevant exam body, institution, or official publication has the final say. You must confirm important admission choices directly with the university and current official sources before acting on them.
Lara may occasionally misunderstand a question or produce an incomplete answer. Use your judgement, compare important claims with your syllabus or official materials, and report a problem when something looks wrong.
5. Season Pass and payments
A SPARC Season Pass is a one-off purchase for the specific JAMB season and access end date shown before payment. It is not a monthly or automatically renewing subscription. The pass unlocks the premium features described at purchase, including the online Lara Tutor lane, for that stated period.
Payments are processed by Paystack. Prices, currency, and the exact access end date are shown before you approve the payment. You are responsible for checking that the season matches your intended exam date.
If a verified payment does not activate correctly, contact support with the payment reference. Refunds, where available, are handled according to applicable law, the payment method’s rules, and the circumstances of the request. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use SPARC for fraud, harassment, abuse, or unlawful activity;
- attempt to bypass access controls, payment checks, limits, or account security;
- probe, attack, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt SPARC’s servers or connected services, except where the law expressly permits;
- copy, scrape, redistribute, sell, or publish substantial SPARC content without written permission;
- upload malware or material that infringes another person’s rights;
- submit another person’s private information without permission; or
- use automated systems to extract content or generate excessive requests.
7. Content and ownership
SPARC and its licensors retain rights in the app, design, brand, software, learning formats, explanations, original questions, and other product content. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own study during the period you are entitled to access it.
You retain rights in original material you send to support or Lara. You give SPARC permission to process that material only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services and links
SPARC relies on service providers for account infrastructure, payments, language-model processing, email, notifications, and website delivery. Their services may have separate terms. SPARC may also link to an institution or external source for convenience. We do not control an external site’s availability, security, or current content.
9. Suspension, deletion, and ending access
You may stop using SPARC at any time and can permanently delete your account through the app or by following our account-deletion instructions.
We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or systems, comply with law, or respond to a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact support. We may end the service in the future, but will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Availability and responsibility
We work to keep SPARC reliable and to preserve local study work, but no software is error-free. Device failure, deleted app storage, unsupported operating systems, provider outages, network problems, or events outside our control may interrupt a feature or cause data loss. Keep important official documents and admission information outside SPARC.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, SPARC is provided without a promise that every feature will always be available or perfectly accurate. SPARC is not responsible for an exam, admission, financial, or academic decision made solely on an estimate, generated answer, historical requirement, or unofficial recommendation.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how SPARC handles personal information and forms part of the way this service operates.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as SPARC or the law changes. The current version and effective date will be published here. If a change materially affects an existing paid entitlement or how you use the service, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practicable.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We encourage you to contact support first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly. Any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights available to you remain unaffected.
